Biography
Dr.
Dawson is a native of Southern California. He attended the University
of California at San Diego graduating with High Honors in Molecular
Biology, and receiving a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Cell
Biology.
Attending
the University of Southern California School of Medicine, he graduated
with honors in 1994. After a year of internship at UCLA, he received
his training at the University of Southern California/Los Angeles
County Medical Center in Diagnostic Radiology. Completing the four-year
residency, he then received an additional year of fellowship training.
The fellowship was an intensive program dedicated to Vascular Interventional
Radiology techniques. In 1999 he received his Board Certification
from the American Board of Radiology and in 2001 was granted a Certificate
of Added Qualification in Interventional Radiology.
Dr.
Dawson is a senior staff member at Centinela Hospital Medical Center.
He is Chairman of the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Chief
of Vascular Interventional Radiology. He is the Director of the
Centinela Vascular Institute and and the Minimally Invasive Therapies
Center at Centinela.
Dr.
Dawson gives many educational and community talks each year, lecturing
to the community and other physicians about the new frontiers of
minimally invasive medical techniques. |
